Jesus has the power not only to heal, but also to forgive sins (Mk 2:5-12); he has come to heal the whole man, soul and body; he is the physician the sick have need of” (CCC, 1503)
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick (formerly called Extreme Unction) is not just for the dying, but for anyone who is seriously ill. In case of need, please contact the parish office to set up an appointment. (510)-526-4811.
Anointing of the sick is offered at each Mass on the 5th Sunday of the month.
