The Second Vatican Council's Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy notes that "liturgical services are not private functions," but rather "pertain to the whole body of the Church" (26). All members of the community should feel welcome to participate in our liturgy as part of the "body of the Church."

In order to make our whole community feel welcomed at our parish, the Greeters invite both regular parishioners and visiters to feel at home at St. Mary Magdalen's. Our goal is to put into practice Paul's advice, to "welcome one another, then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God" (Romans 15:7).
