Men, women, and teens are encouraged to be trained as ushers. The primary ministry of an usher is to the parish community, to help maintain a prayerful atmosphere during the Liturgy.

The responsibilities of ushers include:

• Assisting parishioners find seating, especially during a crowded liturgy.
• Taking up the collection.
• Helping to guide the communion procession.
• Generally attending to the safety and comfort of the assembly.
