Diocesan Required Training to Protect Children

Do you participate in one of these Parish Ministries?  If yes, please be advised that all those who minister (volunteers, employees and clergy) in the Diocese of Oakland are to be educated about the nature of child sexual abuse, how it is perpetrated, how to report it and strategies for prevention.  Training is mandatory for all who minister, first before starting work or volunteering and then every 3 years thereafter.

The training is offered in English and Spanish and  can be done from your home, online; at the parish office, also online; or at one of the in person training sessions around the diocese. To use a parish computer to take this training, please call the office (510)-526-4811 and make an appointment.

To take this training you must first register, and then begin the class.  You may interrupt your training so that it fits into your schedule.

Please provide a copy of your Course Completion Certificate to the Parish Office.
