HOLIDAY OUTREACH 2025
The HOLIDAY OUTREACH PROGRAM will start this year on November 16th and run until December 14th. Please drop your gift cards or monetary donations into the collection basket or drop at the rectory.
Since the Covid Outbreak, our organization of the Holiday Outreach has changed. No longer is St. Mary’s Center collecting toys and gifts as in the past. Most organizations now prefer Target gift cards that allow their clients to go to the store and buy what they want and need.
Target is generally very accessible for all economic groups.Due to inflation, we are now being asked to raise the amount of the Target card to $30. We will also accept monetary gifts that can be given through the collection basket, directly to the office, or thru the QR code seen in the bulletin. Be sure to indicate on your check memo or cash envelope that the funds go to the HOLIDAY OUTREACH.
We will be giving Target gift cards to St. Mary’s Center where they will be used as gifts for their seniors. Our own St Vincent de Paul also is a major recipient of these cards, to be used through out the year for those in need. As mentioned recently from the altar, the number asking for help has greatly increased.
Monetary donations will be given to Mercy Brown Bag Program, Elizabeth House, Catholic Charities of the East Bay, St. Vincent de Paul, East Bay Sanctuary and St. Mary’s Center.
